- Description: The methylation class "ossifying fibromyxoid tumour" is based on tumours with the histological diagnosis of ossifying fibromyxoid tumour. Cases of this class are most commonly located in the soft tissue of extremitites and the trunk; median age is 50 years (age range 41 to 77). Cases of this class frequently carry rearrangements of chromosome arm 6p21 involving PHF1. Copy number analysis shows frequent losses on chromosome 6q.
