- Name: Methylation class myxoid liposarcoma
- Description: The methylation class "myxoid liposarcoma" is based on tumours with the histological diagnosis myxoid liposarcoma. Location is typically the deep soft tissue of extremities, mainly within the muscles of the thigh. The median age is 52 years (range 32 to 84). Molecularly, these cases are characterized by a FUS-DDIT3 fusion gene (>95%) or by a EWSR1-DDIT3 fusion gene (<5%). Myxoid liposarcomas frequently carry a TERT promoter mutation (>70%). Most cases show a flat profile in copy number analysis.
